Like all school students, he does not have to worry about his pocket money. Akshay Ruparelia, a school student, owns more than 100 Crore Rupees only in his 19 years of age.
Living in North London, school student, Indian-origin Akshay has recently got his name in the list of Britain's young billionaires. Within a year, his property has become amounted to 103.33 million Rupees. Akshay, who is in the online business of his own, is in the middle of his schooling. His organization is called ‘doorsteps.co.uk’, which helps people in the property business in exchange for nominal prices. 16 months ago the organization started the journey. Right now, it is holding the 18th place in the list of UK's largest companies.
Speaking about the beginning, Akshay said, “Within a couple of weeks of launching the website of the company, a phone call came from a person living in Sussex. There he had a house and a piece of land. He wanted to sell both.” Akshay did not miss the opportunity and went to Sussex immediately. He did not own a car then. So, the driving license was far away. As a result, he gave 40 pounds (about three and a half thousand rupees in Indian currency) to his brother-in-law to get him to Sussex. Akshay took photos of the land & house when he arrived in Sussex and sold it. That was the start. Kaushik and Renuka Ruparelia's son did not have to look back. Care worker Kaushik and school teacher Renuka both are deaf. They are proud of their boy for his success.
Like Akshay's success, his business process is also bit different. Instead of having suited & booted estate agent as employees, Akshay appoints middle-aged housewives. They take the buyers to show their homes. At this moment, 12 housewives are working in his organization. According to him, “Customers have confidence in the mothers, coz mothers tell the truth which is very important in this business. Because, those who are selling their own homes, in most cases, it is the biggest transactions in their lives.”
Akshay is not like other school students. Otherwise, he would not have missed the opportunity to study economics and mathematics at Oxford University. Akshay wants to concentrate on business only. But one thing was not fulfilled yet. He still saves money every month from his business profits. He wants to buy a car.
